Teleportation Spell

Used the teleportation spell to get into my basement. The thing about my basement is that there is no direct route to down there, hence the need for the spell. Once I arrived, I used my gem/metal processor to smelt some metals after which I cut some gems. Why is magic so much easier here? The construction spells alone take up to a day to complete, but are now handled in a fraction of that time.
